The short version: Journali collects only what's needed to run your trading journal. We never sell your data. Your trade data is yours — private, secure, and exportable at any time.
Journali ("we", "us", "our") is a trading journal application available at journali.io and as a mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your actual password).
Trade data: All trade information you log — tickers, P&L, entries, exits, notes, emotions, setups — is stored securely and associated with your account.
Usage data: We may collect basic analytics about how you use the app (pages visited, features used) to improve the product. This data is anonymized and never tied to your trade data.
Device information: When using the mobile app, we may collect device type, OS version, and app version for debugging and compatibility purposes.
We do not use your trade data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with other users.
Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security policies to ensure your data is only accessible to you.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data and trade history is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can export your data at any time from the Settings page before deletion.
Journali's AI trade coaching feature is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you request AI feedback on a trade, the relevant trade data (ticker, P&L, notes, emotion, setup) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. This data is processed according to Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not store your trade data with Anthropic beyond what is needed to generate the response.

Journali is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of Journali after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
